ABOUT US

Craig Jones is a native of Independence, Missouri,
where he has operated as a full-time taxidermist for
45 years.  He became interested in taxidermy at a
young age while accompanying his father on waterfowl
hunting trips.  Not wanting the bird skins to simply go
to waste, Craig began to dabble in the art of taxidermy
his last few years of high school.  Once he headed for
college, his passion for taxidermy grew.  While attending
college, he began teaching taxidermy to other students;
which he did for three years.  He graduated from
Graceland University with degrees in biology and art,
both of which help his career in Taxidermy.

Craig is a past president of the Missouri Taxidermy
Association.  He has also won numerous awards for his
waterfowl mounts at both the state and national level,
and been featured in several taxidermy "How To" videos
on waterfowl.  Jones Taxidermy currently has the largest
showroom display in the Kansas City area.  Craig has
mounted animals from every continent except Antarctica;
including multiple "Top 10" in the world animals.  His work
can be seen at both Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops, as well
as multiple schools around the area.
